So right now we are sitting in the airport waiting to board the flight.  We gave ourselves a large window of “just in case” time so we have about an hour before boarding begins.

This is what most of the crew is doing….various gadgets are out and electronics are being used while we kill some time.

We spent last night in a hotel which made this morning bearable. We had to get up at six to pack up and grab some breakfast before getting the taxi to the airport.  If we had stayed at Tabby’s house we would have had to leave by six to make the trip to Oakland….and that doesn’t take into account time for traffic.  Plus, since she was driving us, staying in the hotel made her Monday a little easier.

So far the kids are doing well. They are all super exited to get on the plane. Carl and I keep calling it the box….come on, you know, the big present at Christmas that you can’t wait for them to open but all they’re exited about is the box it came in? Yeah…..it’s the box.  But once we get on and take off they’ll settle down and hopefully our FIVE hours on the plane will be uneventful!

Security wasn’t as eventful as we had thought it would be. We didn’t have to do the pat down OR the xray…I guess you get a pass when you travel with kids. And we did well with packing as well….we each have a carryon (camel backs and backpacks) plus two suitcases and a duffel. Sylar was a trooper getting the suitcase to the baggage check!

Well, we should start boarding here in a bit and we need to take potty breaks!
