Jellyfish and Seahorses, Oh My!

Here is the final picture post of our trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Northern California.

One of the big draw for us, and especially Annalea, was the seahorses.  She loves mermaids and horses, and these little suckers were the closest we could get  🙂

And then of course we had to go see the jellyfish.  On the way we met a gal who worked there who, after finding out we homeschooled, offered to show the kids the room where the baby jellies were! That was cool….and they were SO tiny!  But we weren’t allowed to take pictures so I don’t have any to show you…but here’s a few from the exhibit 🙂

I don’t remember what these guys were…and it was hard to get a clear pictures without using the flash, but their tops were above the water line and they glowed!

And here are a few more of the penguins (who can skip those little cuties!) and the kids as we wrapped up our day….

  1. How lucky your family is to live like this. We full-timed for 12yrs but my husbands health no longer permits it. Glad to read in Escapee mag. you(Mary) haul trailer and can manage without Carl but with support ppl. Congrats for your foresight. Many blessings.
