We had been looking for a less touristy beach here in Phuket and were given many suggestions. One of the beaches, we shall call Awesome Beach, was suggested multiple times to us by some locals and expats. It has quickly become our go-to beach whenever we are lacking in plans for the day. It is relatively private, meaning no hordes of holiday beach goers. Just a few chairs with sunbathers reading and frolicking in the water, and having snacks and meals made by a lovely lady right on the beach. There is a period in the afternoon where the speedboats come in droves to drop off the tourists, however, if you get there before or hang out til they’re done, it quickly goes back to being a quaint and quiet beach.
It’s not a snorkeling beach, so we usually just take masks for the kids to see under the waves. When the tides out the bottom is quite rocky but creates a treasure trove of shells and sea glass….and when the tides in, there’s a lovely little sandy bottomed area to swim and cool off. Not to mention the rocks for climbing and crab chasing 🙂
I better just get to the pictures….that’s the real reason you all read the blog!!

As you can tell from the photos, there really aren’t a lot of people on this beach…which is why we will not be sharing its name!! Many of the beaches here in Phuket are polluted with people and trash. I hope that whomever finds this beach next finds it in the same lovely condition we found it!
Take care….I’ll post more soon!
I would love to have you all come to Had Tien some time!!! Keep up the awesome family life!!!
